These minnetonka booties (or as Mr Flashman calls them – Pocahontas shoes) are so ridiculously comfortable, that you’ll find it hard to stop at just one pair. I couldn’t resist. I also have the moccasin style. Think of them as “going out” slippers.
If you are a fan of Ms Hepburn you will love the book I’m reading in these photos. It is an illustrated biography containing removable reproductions of trinkets from Audrey’s extraordinary life – including an excerpt from the actual Breakfast at Tiffany’s script with her handwritten notes. Could you die?

It’s Saturday night. Mr Flashman has a severe case of the “hangrys”. He wants sustenance, pronto. Enter, stage left, flatbread pizza. The sky is the limit with your choice of toppings. We opted for basil pesto, roast pumpkin, feta and pine nut.
You could use small pocket-breads to make individual portions, and serve as an entree.
ingredients
- flatbread pizza base
- basil pesto
- half a butternut pumpkin, shaved
- slice of feta, cubed
- 100g pine nuts
method
- Preheat oven to 200 degrees.
- Spread pesto over pizza base.
- Layer remaining ingredients on top.
- Bake for 15 minutes.

As a woman of a certain age, some might say I have no business wearing a denim skirt. They might be right, but I’m hoping that the preppy striped oxford keeps me clear of mutton territory. This outfit served me well running errands on Saturday, including a craft crusade to Spotlight for upcoming dinner party supplies. Stay tuned.
