dressed: leather leggings

It’s fair to say that I extensively tested the leather legging market.  I must have tried on at least a dozen different brands.  I originally purchased, then subsequently returned these luxe paige paloma leggings. They were gorgeous.  Buttery soft, but so delicate, that I felt as if I was going to burst right out of them.  This club monaco version is sturdier, snuggles my wobbly bits like a pair of spanx and the leather front panels do not bunch up nor wrinkle.  I can’t wait for the weather to cool down so I can wear them with ankle booties and a slouchy knit.  And can we just take a moment to appreciate my guess mirror pumps? I snagged them on sale for $69.50 (insert running man happy dance).

I’m a late adopter of the wedged sneaker trend. When Isabel Marant launched the hybrid that spurned a thousand knockoffs, I thought they were ridiculous.  Fast forward a couple of seasons and their staying power is undeniable.

I can’t resist the comfort factor, nor can I dismiss the extra inches the hidden wedge affords my vertically challenged frame.  After trying on a bunch of chunkier, pouffy-tongued incarnations, I settled on these sleek kicks by Midas (as my D width hobbit feet to not need any added girth!).
